The Hertz Corporation Upfit Status Specialist in Bannockburn, Illinois
This individual is responsible for monitoring upfit status events associated with the vehicle ordering process. Analyzing data in a manner that allows Donlen to take a proactive approach to preventing and resolving problems is essential to the success of this role. Effectively communicating with internal resources and external vendors to resolve issues is critical to this role.
Daily monitoring of multiple upfit status events related to vehicle orders
Assist with and coordinate problem/resolution management related to pre and post-delivery issues.
Keep the department, Account Managers and management informed of critical client issues and work to resolve those issues
Establish excellent working relationships with upfit vendors
Coordinate and participate in meetings with equipment providers to ensure good communication and customer satisfaction
Assist Supply Specialists by managing the flow of status from the time a vehicle arrives to the upfitter to when the upfit has been completed
Proactively provide upfitters with status reports and participate on weekly conference calls to review
Ensuring electronic status is being received by vendors
Adding vendor to the FTP status process
Monitor vehicles that are being locally upfitted to ensure timely delivery of vehicle to upfitter and customer
Manage the in-service dates for locally upfitted and bailment vehicles
Ensuring license and title requirements are received timely by upfitter (such as 2nd Stage MSO’s and weight slips)
Coordinate final delivery to end user, when applicable with our preferred transportation vendors
Monitor department CARE (internal CRM) cases throughout the day
Assisting team with various administrative functions
Participate in regular meetings related to upfitter issues impacting production and delivery of orders.
Assist in designing specific job procedures to improve efficiency and reduce burden on department.
Mandatory Requirements :
High School Diploma or GED required-Associate or Bachelor Degree is a preferred.
1 to 3 years’ experience in an office environment required
1 year or more automotive/truck/transportation industry experience preferred
Strong analytical skills
Excellent communication and problem solving skills
Use problem identification and solving techniques to anticipate and prevent problems that may impact clients and/or Donlen
Strong computer skills
