The Hertz Corporation Director Functional Learning in Estero, Florida
Hertz Global Learning & Talent Development is building out a new department designed to provide world class learning and education curriculums aligned to the critical skills and capabilities needed within the business. The Director of Functional Learning is responsible for partnering with the COE’s across the organization to design and develop learning strategies, curriculums and programs. In this position, you will be an architect and leader in creating learning solutions that drive business results. This role will require close partnership with various business stakeholders to develop and implement the solutions. This role would ideally be located in Estero Florida, but we would consider remote working for the right individual. The role may require up to 20% travel.
Roles and responsibilities:
Works with the functional areas to conduct a thorough Training needs assessment. Assesses and validates learning needs of the business segment internally and externally using business success measures and learning metrics.
Partners with functional COE’s in prioritizing these needs and creating an L&D Strategy for their area. Collaborates on the development of business cases with ROI justification for investments, if appropriate
Partners with stakeholders and our Content Development team to recommend performance-focused training content that engages learners
Delivers learning solutions and services for clients that are designed to lower the cost of service, improve client satisfaction, increase adoption, and attain the desired behaviors and outcomes
Assists in the implementation androll out of the learning solutions, in collaboration with COE, to enhance individual, team and organizational performance.
Sources external training providers to build a core of resources to meet and supplement functional learning needs
Works with stakeholders and our internal measurement resources to identify and implement key measures around ROI
Works with each COE to build and implement an annual Training Strategy. Partners throughout the year to anticipate and respond to business and organizational changes, and makes necessary adjustments to learning plans
Serves as the primary point of contact with the COE’s on training needs
Skills and qualifications required:
BA or BS degree in a relevant field; Advanced degree is preferred
7+ years of work experience delivering training solutions to large organizations.
Demonstrated adult learning implementation and driving performance through impactful training.
Demonstrated ability to assess training effectiveness and ROI to stakeholders and leaders.
Demonstrated ability in project and workload management
Exceptional ability to earn trust of subject matter experts and stakeholders
Experience and track record in delivering outstanding learning solutions
Experience working with learning management systems
Ability to manage ambiguity and change
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities
Strong presentation skills
Experience in a multi-cultural environment; international work experience preferred
Must be self-motivated and able to work as part of a remote team
