The Hertz Corporation Director, Hertz Airport Promotions Marketing in Estero, Florida

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced director who is passionate about driving our rental car brand to success through continual data-driven insights and delivery of results-oriented and revenue-driving marketing campaigns. The focus will be on Hertz Airport locations. The role will own the end-to-end promotions of these locations from the strategy to implementation. This is a position for those who love working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

The primary mission of the Director, Hertz Promotions Marketing role is to:

  • Drive revenue for the Hertz brands through promotional marketing activities

  • Align short-term marketing campaign promotional/demand generation activities across all channels (owned assets, B2B, paid media, social) to achieve revenue targets for Hertz Airport

  • Develop and lead promotion and campaign governance across all touch points and stakeholders to ensure efficiency of implementation and ROI assessment.

  • Plan and direct promotional programs and campaigns based on business, market and seasonal needs. Managing relevant, sound and consistent marketing and pricing strategies for Hertz brand portfolios

  • Establish campaign goals, KPIs and performance management. Manage reporting to key stakeholders of program results

  • Develop and manage integrated Airport promotional calendar for all marketing platforms (online, paid search/display, print, media, etc.).

  • Direct external marketing agencies (creative, media) to develop and implement campaigns.

  • Act as the brand advocate in production of all promotion marketing materials, ensuring the look, tone and feel of the Hertz brand is consistent and accurate

  • Collaborate with the broader enterprise to solicit continuous feedback on current and future marketing tactics, launch new products, improve product experience and remove barriers and work with the Hertz Brand

  • Lead perspective on the future of this category, promotion needs, and maintain a product pipeline to meet consumers’ needs and overall enterprise revenue targets

Additional responsibilities and core functions include:

  • Be responsible for executing and driving to annual financial targets for Hertz brands. Help establish business objectives, strategies, campaigns, and tactics that will successfully meet the financial plan

  • Foster consistent brand results measurement, robust industry and brand analytics and a focus on results to continuously improve effectiveness and ROI for the brand

  • Identify and champion projects that will have brand and business impact

  • Stay current on market, competition, and trends including analyzing current marketing tactics, concepts, practices and procedures

  • Manage to brand marketing budgets

  • Assist in defining the objective, scope, and prioritization of product initiatives

Key result areas:

  • Develop, implement, and measure marketing campaigns to connect with key customer segments and meet revenue targets

Mandatory Requirements

Educational Background:

  • Undergraduate and master’s degrees in marketing, business management, economics, finance, mathematics, or related / relevant field required

Professional Experience:

  • 7-10 years of professional experience within retail, travel, hospitality with a focus on product design. Other industries acceptable if able to demonstrate relevant correlation

Skills:

  • Proven track record of ability to solve complex business problems

  • Demonstrated ability to work in, across, and with large teams

  • Demonstrated project management experience for a broad range of topics and scope, including experience in large scale project management

  • Established track-record of influencing stakeholders from other functional areas with limited formal authority

  • Strong background in strategic problem solving

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfort communicating across all levels within the organization

  • Effective organization and time management skills with ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines.

  • Advanced Microsoft Suite product knowledge (e.g., Powerpoint, Excel)

  • Proven verbal and written communication

  • Positive attitude
