Manager, HR Policy & Process Improvement
The prime objective of this role is to manage and oversee HR policies and core procedures for the HR function, combined with constantly improving processes that underpin the delivery of those policies, working across HR in their development and delivery.
This role will build new solutions, processes and policies to support HR service delivery. Projects will provide a variety of challenging initiatives including driving automated solutions, driving adoption efforts, and identifying opportunities to add controls and standardization to current HR practices.
Partner with HR leaders, business partners and COEs to develop/revise HR policies and processes to maximize performance and deliver best-in-class services. Ensure consistency and alignment across policies, procedures, processes, practices, and systems
Ensure HR policies are audit compliant and work across HR to ensure compliance
Partner closely with HR leadership to align process objectives and requirements.
Guide team through as-is documentation and to-be design of processes, related organization/role design, and enabling technologies.
Leverage Lean and Six Sigma tools and methodology to improve HR process effectiveness and reduce costs of HR service delivery.
Effectively promote, articulate and present HR policies and processes across the organization, with potentially different communication skills targeting different stakeholders (HR, Finance, Operations, IT, employees, managers, etc.)
Work with subject matter experts in the documentation and retention of standard operating procedures.
Provide program management for the re-engineering of HR processes, including developing project plans, managing implementation/integration activities, and providing transitional and post-service delivery support.
Maintain a hands-on approach to ensure deadlines are met and key deliverables are accurate.
Work closely with learning and development and communications partners to instill a culture of change, sustainability and fast adoption of innovative ideas.
5+ years of generalist HR or related experience
Successful record of building, improving, and automating operational processes and procedures; ability to drive program efficiency and high levels of customer satisfaction
Demonstrated project ownership and consistent delivery on commitments - great organizational skills with exceptional follow through and attention to detail
Bachelor’s degree in business, HR or related field – graduate degree and/or MBA preferred
Strategic view, able to perform cost benefit analyses, accurately assess risk, forecast both long and short-term outcomes, and evaluate the implications in a complex business environment
Experience identifying and resolving issues independently - solid sense of accountability and sound personal judgment
Lean six sigma green belt
Customer service orientation with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations – ability to serve multiple customers (employees, managers, HR)
Excellent written and verbal communications skills - ability to interface with all levels of the organization, specific strength in influencing decision makers as well as setting and managing expectations
