The Hertz Corporation Workforce Analytics Specialist in Estero, Florida

General Responsibilities:

The primary mission of the Workforce Analytics Specialist is to coordinate critical reporting and decision support tools and to ensure reports are provided in a timely manner and error-free way. The role is responsible to drive efficiencies in reporting through automation and data visualization implementations. It serves as a point of contact for Workforce reporting & analysis, creates and maintains a repository of definitions and standard process procedures and holds the Workforce Analyst team accountable for a high quality output.

Key result areas:

  1. Coordinates business critical reporting and ensures it is provided in a timely manner.

  2. Streamlines the process of reporting request intakes and determines priorities with the Workforce Analyst team.

  3. Manages the process to drive efficiencies in reporting across all areas through automation and data visualization.

  4. Develops Workforce Analysts further in areas of data analysis and analytical approaches.

  5. Creates a repository of definitions for key metrics and manages the documentation of standard procedures.

  6. Creates and develops resource back-ups for each critical reporting area.

  7. Provides hand-on support for 'ad-hoc' and scheduled requests in all reporting areas.

  8. Supports analytical projects with high quality data out of all reporting areas

  9. Applies statistical approaches to data sets, so meaningful insights for decisions are created.

  10. Designs standard reports in an efficient and meaningful way for key stakeholders.

  11. Actively engages with stakeholders to ensure outputs meet high quality standards and are connected to the company’s strategic direction.

  12. Creates dashboards/scorecards based on standard definitions for the business.

  13. Owns and organizes the process to update and provide key dashboards and scorecards to the business.

Mandatory Requirements:

Educational Background and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or quantitative discipline with a minimum of 4 years work experience in the area of reporting/analysing.

Knowledge:

  • Experience in analysing and reporting

  • Highly proficient on Excel (Pivot tables, V-Lookup, Sum-if, Index…) and PowerPoint

  • VBA and R Programming experience desired, SQL is a plus

  • Prior experience with building reporting tools and proficiency in data visualization (tableau)

  • Understanding of organization development and organization effectiveness concepts

  • Ability and eagerness to be intimately involved with the businesses and contribute to business success.

  • Ability to diagnose organizational problems and to build effective relationships with line managers.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a global business culture and in an international matrix organization.

  • Can work on a conceptual level and is also able to be pragmatic and results-oriented and do hands-on change activities.

  • Fluency in English is a must. Knowledge of Spanish and/or German is an advantage.

  • Able and willing to travel.

  • Good understanding of the industry, the fundamental business principles and its business drivers.
