The Hertz Corporation HR Business Partner I in Hebron, Kentucky
The HR Business Partner will report into the Zone HR Business Partner. Key result area include the following:
Support HR strategic alignment with business strategies by providing support for a wide variety of activities that enhance organizational effectiveness including developing new procedures for performance management, creating positive employee relations programs, strengthening communications between the leadership and their staff, recognizing business growth opportunities, and improved tracking of HR metrics to support business decisions.
Assist centralized recruiting in timely placement and retention of quality new hires and filling of a variety of internal openings. Develop and maintain relationships with the recruitment team, university contacts, agencies, and other recruitment resources to achieve an adequate applicant flow.
Recommend, develop, and schedule training and development courses.
Participate in the Pulse Survey analysis, feedback, action, and follow up process in tandem with the HR BP and Business Leaders.
Facilitate the On Boarding process for new hires by ensuring that Orientations are conducted and documented, introductory period 30, 60, 90 day reviews are held, the Buddy program is promoted, and feedback is followed up on.
Attend 2-3 TPL and queue Huddles on a regular basis (weekly) to stay abreast of the priorities and initiatives of the various teams.
Promote Union Avoidance through support of the Open Door Policy. Review employee complaints by ensuring accurate and timely investigation, documentation of concerns or issues, and escalation to the appropriate business leaders.
Coordinate the dissemination of information from Exit Interviews to the leadership team to enable issues to be addressed and improvements to be fostered.
Seek opportunities to collaborate with the business on all HR practices including policies and employment law relating to attendance, performance, and behavior.
Conduct Benchmarking studies with comparable businesses for best in class processes relating to policies, practices, and benefits.
Handle the administration of Unemployment Compensation responses and hearings.
Seek opportunities to improve processes within the scope of HR to reduce costs and increase efficiency of the Human Resources function.
Oversee the process and advise HR staff in assisting employees with understanding their rights and responsibilities pertaining to the Family & Medical Leave Act.
Complete other projects as assigned by the HR BP, Sr. HR BP, or as needs are recognized.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Management, HR, or Psychology or other business related discipline
- Previous HR and/or HR Support Experience (minimum 2 years)
Solid knowledge of basic HR and employment laws and regulations
