The Hertz Corporation Oracle ERP Business Analyst in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
The Oracle P2P Business Analyst provides day to day support to business users for the Oracle P2P modules. The BA Collaborates with the business and IT stakeholders to define requirements for application development. The BA plays a critical role in faciliating business process discussions, redesigning to solve inefficiences, laying the foundation for application support, upgrades, patching and enhancement planning. The BA interviews subject matter experts to learn about current and desired future state processes, identifying how technology should support those processes. They create artifacts (use cases) to capture requirements, assumptions, and alternative paths, from which design plans are developed. This role interacts directly with business users, vendors, development and support teams to identify and provide innovative solutions in response to business requirements. In addition, the BA collaborates on detailed designs and test plans, ensuring traceability from business goals to requirements definition to production delivery.
Key Result Areas
Work as part of a team to provide technical support for day to day Oracle application issues.
Support and maintain Oracle EBS, including assisting in troubleshooting incidents and identifying and documenting functional errors.
Work with Oracle support services to resolve technical issues and software updates
Engage with the business users at different levels to understand business needs and translate findings into clearly defined Business Requirements Document
Translate Business Requirements Document to system Functional Design Document
Work with offshore development teams to validate Technical Design
Create Test Scripts needed to validate the Functional design
Lead and/or perform system integration testing and/or user acceptance testing and provide the functional support to users
Preparing and executing test plans to ensure that patches and or modifications are thoroughly tested prior to being placed into production.

- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finanace or Accounting. Or equivalent work experience. Master's Degree preferred
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in configuring and supporting Oracle EBS R12 Applications within an IT department - specifically Purchasing and Accounts Payable modules
Experience in developing and maintaining data conversion/integration between Oracle EBS and other non-Oracle Applications
Experienced in Oracle ERP implementations
Ability to map applications to standard business processes
Adept at collaborating with technical development teams when addressing new implementations, functionality enhancements, performance issues or application updates
Proficiency using SQL based queries
Extensive knowledge of SDLC – Software Development Life Cycle methodologies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to present and articulate complex solutions to senior management
Strong time management and organizational skills
Strong task management skills with the ability to manage complex and multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment
Ability to demonstrate innovative thinking, influencing and execution
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills to determine user needs and requirements
Previous accounting experience
