Our European Service Centre office based in Swords Dublin employs approximately 900 people with over 29 different nationalities and we're currently looking for a General Accountant to join the Finance team of 300.
What is this role all about?
As the General Accountant you will be part of a large friendly multi lingual team and responsible for the daily and monthly general accounting processes for our Italy based operations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
To gain an in depth understanding and knowledge of the accounting tasks, accounting treatment and reporting.
To perform monthly the required calculations and entries for sundry accruals, inventories, prepayments and any other general accounting as required
To manage monthly PO tasks including closure and accrual run
Responsibility for monthly fixed asset run and related entries and closure
To ensure that the relevant back up is provided to the Reconciliations team
Preparation of monthly management accounts and variance analysis reports
Provide accurate financial reporting for management information in accordance with US GAAP
Support internal control
Analysis/review of the P&L accounts assigned as part of the month end process and as requested by management to support cost analysis and review
ITGAAP statutory reporting
Support SCCs teams and country departments in Italian GAAP and Tax compliance
Support the country specific statutory filing requirements and statutory preparation
What do we need from you?
ACA or ACCA part qualified (or equivalent) and relevant experience ideally in a shared services environment.
You must have at least an intermediate level of competence with Excel and a good understanding of all other packages in the Microsoft Office suite. In addition, you will also have previous experience of using an ERP system, preferably Oracle, on a daily basis.
Fluency in Italian and English
