Our European Service Centre office based in Swords Dublin employs approximately 900 people with over 29 different nationalities and we’re currently looking for a Finance Administrator to join the Treasury team of 10.
What is this role all about?
The Payment Processing Assistant will be responsible for manual payments for the various HEFC countries assigned providing a service that exceeds our customer’s expectations.
Execute manual payments runs ensuring vendors are paid in accordance with the Payment Schedule.
Execute ad-hoc and/or urgent payments, to be made outside of payments schedule, as requested by STL and in accordance with timescales set by STL.
Ensure that an adequate cheque stock is available at all times (i.e. ordering additional stock as required) and stored in a secure location.
Get the signatures on payment confirmation and email them to the bank
Execute manual cheque payments
Ensure that the Cheque signing plates are up-to-date. Initiate and apply for changes and amendments to the register/plates as required.
Highlight any unusual payment amounts or possible errors to STL before execution of payment to ensure these can be resolved before payment is made.
Report value of payments in Payment Books.
Assist in monitoring that all payment books are updated correctly.
Produce audit reports from Barclay’s, Multiweb and Isabel on a weekly basis.
Maintain open communication with Cash Management, Banking, Accounts Payable, Inter-company, Franchise, Prepaid, Collections etc in order to ensure every transaction is executed and recorded on time
Ad hoc projects and duties as assigned by STL.
In everyday dealings with Customers, both Internal & External, uphold and embody the Hertz Mission, Vision and Values
What do we need from you?
Six months experience in one, or more, of the following areas: AP, Banking and Treasury, is essential
Fluent English written and spoken essential.
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (incl. Word and Excel) essential
A good working knowledge of banking platforms used by Hertz ( DBDI, Barclay’s, Multiweb, Isabel) would be beneficial
A good working knowledge of Outlook and Oracle would be beneficial
Good organisational and time management skills
Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail
The ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Strong communication skills – written and spoken at all levels
