We have an excellent opportunity for aProduct Manager reporting to Senior Product Manager of the Hertz Corporation in Uxbridge, United Kingdom

What is this role all about?

Formulate and implement the pan-European marketing strategy for the Hertz 24/7 car-sharing product to support the commercial objectives and revenue plans and ensure Hertz stays at the forefront of smart mobility

Plan, develop and execute the launch of new and existing products to support the long- and short-term marketing strategies and maximise revenue opportunities.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Hertz 24/7 Car-sharing Product

  • Be a leading member of the Hertz 24/7 Business team representing the marketing and product development function in the European region.

  • Formulate and implement the pan-European marketing strategy for Hertz 24/7 by influencing key stakeholders in Marketing and Sales (Brand, CRM, Digital, UX…) to deliver the key business objectives

  • Influence the E-Commerce and Hertz 24/7 technology to deliver major improvements to the Hertz 24/7 website, integration with and mobile apps

  • Identify market research needed to support marketing strategies and product development

  • Communicate marketing strategy to Country Marketing Team and act as product champion and brand guardian to ensure coherent product positioning and promotion across all European markets.

  • Own the development of pan-European marketing and sales collateral and other marketing material when appropriate

  • Participate actively in the launch of Hertz 24/7 in new markets or the addition of new partners by working closely with the Senior Director Mobility Partnerships

  • Be responsible for the Hertz 24/7 pan-European Marketing Budget

New and Existing Products for the Hertz Brands

  • Actively keep abreast of market, technology, innovation and competitor activities

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of customer needs, customer experience and pain points by analysing internal customer insights.

  • Identify insights gaps and brief consumer research to Research Team if required.

  • Help to generate ideas for new products and services and improvement of existing products

  • Plan, develop and execute pilot by managing cross-functional teams and external partner when relevant

  • Work with Brand Team to define positioning and communication messages for new/updated product.

  • Compile creative brief to develop collateral and other marketing materials with creative teams or agency.

  • Define offline / online communication touch points and work with key stakeholders in Marketing / PR / Internal Communications to ensure cohesive promotion and success of product.

  • Provide ongoing analysis of product performance and proposing changes and development if necessary

  • Act as the key point of contact within the business for new/updated product.

  • Provide support to Country Marketing Teams for full roll-out and act as product guardian to ensure coherent communication across all European markets.

  • Offering operational and administrative support where applicable.

What do we need from you?

Educational Background:

  • A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)

Professional Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in a marketing role


  • Knowledge of product management and integrated marketing

  • Understanding and use of customer insights to implement marketing strategies

  • Proven stakeholder management experience

  • Awareness of different cultural needs within International markets


  • Enthusiastic about marketing and customer focused

  • Well organised, with an ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience of working with multiple stakeholders

  • Experience of managing suppliers

  • Attention to detail

  • Creative eye

  • Analytical thinking ability

  • Fluent English, other European languages would be an asset
