General Responsibilities:

Job Title: Management Accounts Assistant

Reporting to: Finance Controller

Grade 8

Job Purpose:

  • As the Management Accounts Assistant you will be providing support to the Financial Controller and Finance Planning & Reporting Manager with monthly reporting, financial analysis, account reconciliations and ad hoc projects.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts to strict month end deadlines.

  • Maintenance of revenue and cost accruals, prepayments and fixed assets accounts in line with the relevant SOX control along with the creation and loading of journals

  • Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations completed to strict month end deadlines submitting these to Blackline.

  • Assist with the production of annual statutory accounts

  • Support requirements for Statutory and internal audit reviews

  • Production of weekly financial KPI’s

  • Production of customer profitability analysis on a monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc basis

  • Support ad-hoc Finance projects as required. This will include investigation and research, proposal writing, process documentation, communication, implementation and monitoring of success.

  • Provide support to the Finance Controller as and when required.

Professional Experience:

  • Essential Desirable

  • Worked in a similar role before variance analysis experience

  • Strong reconciliations experience

  • Part Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA)
