The Hertz Corporation Integration Architect in Estero, Florida

General Responsibilities

Integration Architect is responsible for product agnostic design and implementation of various architectural artifacts to enable integration between various internal/external systems and SaaS offerings in order to realize Hertz’s strategic IT vision. This role is responsible for promoting architectural design patterns and facilitate solutions that leverage enterprise integration standards to deliver cost effective, high performing and efficient integrations across systems using various integration methods

Key Result Areas:

  • Plan and deliver integration architecture that are aligned with IT strategies and principles that are designed to minimize IT footprint

  • Create and maintain Domain diagrams, architecture frameworks, design patterns and standards to support technology strategy. Lead and drive efforts to develop maintain reference architecture for integrations, technology life cycles and roadmap

  • Work closely with other enterprise architects, security, networking and infrastructure teams to develop integration architecture suitable for implementing common services, business rules, data transformation, and data movement across systems

  • Maintain relationship with Chief Architect, Integration Manager, Development Manager and developers in order to collectively implement new and difficult challenges, gain support from stakeholders for the technology direction. Champion the migration towards new releases of MuleSoft/ESB, Informatica/ETL and Microsoft/SSIS like products

  • Provide analysis and tradeoffs between strategic and tactical initiatives and champion API lead connectivity, microservices implementation, data loads and potential reuse opportunities within integration domain

  • Participate to develop and manage the ongoing integration architecture governance structure on the basis of business and IT strategies. Ensure that the integration domain’s architecture contributes to the company strategy and financial well-being and provides cost-effective solutions.

  • Perform necessary planning to ensure environments or solutions are adequately scalable for anticipated growth and availability (be able to pull that info and validate from the business in design process). Set standards and performance metrics for the architectural domain and report on them regularly.

  • Ensure design documentation standards, coding standards, performance SLAs are met through better design and constant review of integration artifacts

  • Develop and execute communication and education plans for architecture within and across the integration domain.

  • Mentor and work with domain-related architects, developers and testers throughout integration design, development and testing process

Mandatory Requirements

Educational Background:

  • The ideal candidate will possess:

  • University Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent. Masters preferred.

Professional Experience:

  • Proven track record (7 plus years) in integration architecture using MuleSoft and similar ESB products. Strong experience in Cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure and Bluemix implementation experience is a plus. Experience in integrating with industry leading SaaS offerings such as Salesforce, Infor and Oracle EBS is desirable

Knowledge:

  • The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge in the following:

  • Solid understanding of integration styles, patterns and architecture

  • Expert level knowledge on Mulesoft with strong understanding of another ESB product such as Dell Boomi or TIBCO

  • Solid understanding of ETL products, especially Informatica. Experience in data migration to Cloud

  • Solid understanding of SOA and Microservices architecture with specific implementation knowledge using REST APIs

  • Solid understanding of XML, JSON and other relational and columnar databases

  • Implementation experience in Industry best practices and emerging trends in integration domain

  • Knowledge of current and emerging trends IPaaS
