General Responsibilities
Job Purpose
To prepare college students for entry into a business environment by providing opportunities to join The Hertz Corporation, a global leader in mobility and equipment solutions.
Hertz provides exciting Intern opportunities for individuals pursing their degree program. The purpose of the Hertz IT Internship Program is to provide hands on experience in a business setting.

To assist in the definition, creation and setup of Hertz IT Operational Standards To assist the Hertz End User Communications team in driving user focused solutions, support, and content to allow Hertz employees to get more out of the technology that Hertz IT provides to them. These job responsibilities are currently shared across 3 Hertz employees and various IBM staffers, making it a lower priority compared to escalations and our normal daily fire fighting.
Collect content for and create a new IT Services website to focus on who we are, how we provide services, what we provide, self-help documentation, training videos and guides, “current happenings” awareness articles and blog posts, etc.
Help draft communications for end user and senior management to sell the benefits of a project or initiative. Includes some human change management components.
Administer customer SharePoint and Skype for Business training (virtually and/or in person)
Support IT Service Catalog administration and maintenance
Author technical/documentation including work instructions and self-help video content.
Learn about modern technologies like Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, Windows 10, Tablet Computing, Mobile Device Mgmt with Microsoft Intune
Create user documentation on how to get started with modern technologies
Identify IT Process gaps; research and propose solutions to address these gaps
Coordinate with vendors testing of technology innovations and document results of testing.
Mandatory Requirements
Educational Background
Must be enrolled in an accredited educational institution
Pursuing undergraduate degree in IT
Current overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
Possess basic knowledge of MIS concepts
Knowledge & Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented
Ability to effectively coordinate with team members
Strong work ethic and organizational skills
Microsoft Office skills
