General Responsibilities

Excellent communication, project management, and analytic skills as well as the ability to build relationships, and define user requirements is essential, as this role will be managing projects, cross functional teams, and working closely with internal stakeholders globally and cross functionally, including HR, Payroll, Benefits, IT, Operations, and Finance.

This role will work with the other members of the HRIS team to identify, recommend, develop, implement, deploy, and support cost-effective process and technology solutions to meet the needs of the HR stakeholders and other business leaders. It will also help define and implement HRIS policies, procedures and best practices, and will play a key role in the HR PMO process.

Areas of Focus/Position Responsibilities

  • Leads, manages and works on projects to develop, implement and support cost-effective process and technology solutions.

  • Creates and presents business cases as appropriate, develops and executes functional project plans, and delivers results within targeted timeframes and budgets.

  • Partners with functional HR and business stakeholders to understand, evaluate, and identify requirements for enhancements, new systems implementation, data interfaces, and business process re-design.

  • Prepares requirements documentation and test plans for any changes, reports and/or employee data interfaces needed. Assists functional HR groups with executing the test plans.

  • Prepares process flow diagrams and documentation for new/changed processes as needed.

  • Understands security, business and labor requirements that impact systems and process design and ensures recommendations consider these factors, and that HR Systems and processes remain in compliance.

  • Works with end users to identify and resolve reported issues inclusive of performing data reporting and analysis, troubleshooting issues, and working with IT team and/or software vendors as necessary to resolve.

  • Contribute to definition, communication & implementation of HRIS policies, procedures and best practices.

  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors, 3 rd party consultants, and internal stakeholders

  • Manage cross functional project team members and may manage direct reports

  • Other duties assigned by supervisor/manager


Mandatory Requirements

Essential Requirements:

  • BS/BA degree

  • Five+ years prior work experience, in an HRIS, HR or IT project management role implementing and supporting HR applications for a large organization including experience in one or more of these areas of focus: HR applications for enterprise wide Core HR, Time Keeping, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, and Benefits, business process redesign, system enhancements, new development, conversions, data interfaces, reporting, user support and training. Global experience preferred.

  • Experience in business process analysis and project management with responsibility for completion of HR systems projects

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, as well as technical proficiency with HR application systems and interfaces.

  • Ability to be flexible, adapt to change and work on multiple projects simultaneously and independently

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-national environment with multiple priorities and changing demands while being responsive to end user needs

  • Detail-oriented as needed, with ability to focus on the big picture as appropriate

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate complex information in a succinct, organized, easy to understand manner

  • Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative work style and ability to develop effective working relationships and demonstrate commitment to being a team player

  • Prior experience in an HRIS role for a major HRIS system such as Oracle e-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, SAP, or Workday

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word

Preferred Requirements:

  • Business, Human Resources, or Information Systems major

  • Prior experience in an HRIS and/or HRIS Project management role supporting Timekeeping, Core HR, Benefits, Talent Acquisition and Performance Management specialty systems such as Kronos, Oracle HR, iCIMS, PeopleFluent, SuccessFactors, or Taleo

Good understanding of Human Resource functional processes including employee relations & HR compliance, compensation, performance, payroll, timekeeping, talent acquisition, and benefits
