The Hertz Corporation Mobility Program Manager in Estero, Florida

General Responsibilities

Job Purpose:

The primary mission of the program manager is to ensure that the user/customer experience and value proposition is upheld as a key priority in executing the connected car strategy at Hertz. The program manager will oversee progress on key initiatives, providing regular updates to the VP Sales Strategy & Operations. The program manager will serve as an aggregator of cross functional project plans, critical timeline and measurement of status to completion. The project manager will work constructively with cross functional partners to stay informed always. The program manager will house the RACI for the connected car strategy and insure that all stakeholders are clearly define and assigned a role that aligns to RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed). The program manager will develop a risk profile for all initiatives and manage a system to quickly escalate areas of opportunity to keep us on track as a cross functional business team. This position reports to Sales however, will operate within a Matrix of functional leaders, as an individual contributor.

Key-Result Areas:

  • Serve as project liaison with internal key stakeholders and external partners.

  • Support implementation of connected car initiatives (sample projects could include: new products and innovation, customer pilots/activations and partnership pilots/activations). Executed against initiatives and development efforts to ensure customer experience programs meet goals. Facilitate transparency of cross functional initiatives, and the performance to objectives and partner with assigned teams in Marketing, Technology, Operations, Digital/Mobility, Donlen and Hertz International. The program manager will support the tracking, measurement, and performance reporting.

  • Provide expertise on project initiation & definition, requirements and process work flows, planning and execution, and post implementation support.

  • Track the project’s budget, monitoring expenditures and costs and delivering to agreed costs.

  • Development of project scope and plan to include the tracking of schedules and detailed project plans for all deliverables.

  • Track project milestones, identify problem areas, and coordinate corrective actions.

  • Monitor, review and provide cadence of reporting and results for connected car project initiatives.

  • Timely communication with internal and external partners in relevant areas of the project or initiative is paramount.

  • Develop and ability to build strong trusted partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Support ad hoc requests as needed.

Mandatory Requirements

Knowledge, skills and experience required:

  • Demonstrated success in managing projects with proven track record of delivering results aligned with corporate goals.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication, engagement and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven track record of creative writing skills to promote projects, as well as optimize content and assets.

  • Experience influencing leaders across cross-functional and partner teams, and managing internal / external relationships.

  • Comfortable engaging with key stakeholders and senior leadership.

  • Strong analytical and reporting skills including ability to identify issues and provide solution (Tableau, SAS, R) .

  • Informs decisions and makes recommendations grounded in data and analytics.

  • Flexible and adaptable managing day-to-day program administration, while being systematic and process oriented.

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite of tools (Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint): MS Project preferred.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree from four (4) year college or university; five (5) years’ experience related in Project Management and/or Marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience.MBA Preferred

  • 5-10 years’ experience in business.

  • Relevant travel industry and / or rental car industry qualifications are preferred.
