The Hertz Corporation Fleet Operations Manager - 1 Year Contract in Etobicoke, Ontario

This position is for a 1 year contract

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Managing the daily operations for a rental car and service unit fleet.

  • Ensuring vehicles are registered and titled according to state laws.

  • Monitoring accountability of all titles.

  • Quality review all new car deliveries for damages and ensuring damages found are documented for reimbursement processing.

  • Working daily, weekly and monthly fleet reports to ensure fleet accountability.

  • Updating fleet adds and deletes weekly and monthly.

  • Processing and accounting for all sales transactions.

  • Negotiating rates with transportation companies to move cars.

  • Coordinating new car purchases with dealerships in the area.

  • Working non-revenue reports daily.

  • Assisting Area Managers with fleet issues.

  • Ensuring all new cars are cleaned, fueled and processed in a timely manner.

Mandatory Requirements

Educational Background:

  • College Degreed Preferred

Professioal Experience:

  • 1-3 years of management experience, managing union employees is a plus

  • Preferred background as a fleet manager of a rental car company or dealership

Knowledge:

  • Must be computer literate with strong Microsoft Excel skills

  • Basic understanding or RAC KPIs

  • Economic Value Added principles

Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal communication networking and negotiation skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Good planning, organizing and time management skills

  • Demonstrates resourcefulness

  • Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities while working independently

  • Ability to effectively influence, engage and inspire teams.
