General Responsibilities

Job description (Major Accountabilities) (What is done and for what purpose)

Business/Field support

  1. Provision system access in CARS+ and Rentworks in accordance with the IT policy.

  2. Provide help desk support and monitor incoming trouble tickets on a regular basis, ensure trouble tickets are resolved in a timely manner (this is measured in the monthly report from the service delivery manager in OKC and “My performance”).

  3. Maintain system protocols by writing and updating procedures.

  4. Provide references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation.

  5. Work closely with both Hertz and DTG business units and identify synergies that can be achieved by standardizing and implementing best practices.

  6. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  7. Support field users after hours on an on-call basis on a rotational schedule. Travel to locations when possible to resolve hardware issues.

Audit and Compliance

  1. Perform quarterly Systems audits in accordance with IT policy.

  2. Liaise with the Manager, Systems Application in Canada to ensure PCI, SOX and other regulatory compliance. Maintain or required documentations and logs required by PCI, SOX and IT Policy.

Projects and Applications life cycle

  1. Liaise with the Manager, Systems Application in Canada and the IT PMO to prioritize and provide the agreed technology solutions, ensuring they are aligned with both the corporate business goals and strategy.

  2. Prepare and submit business cases for key projects.

  3. Ensure acceptance by all stakeholders, through effective Change Management Programs (SCCD)

  4. Liaison with Manager, Systems applications to meet required IT and department objectives.

  5. Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.

  6. Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements; forming project team; establishing project budget.

  7. Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.

  8. Work closely with project stakeholders and key users to define project scope, goals and deliverables that support their business units.

  9. Perform regression and user acceptance test on new releases before moving to production.

  10. Perform quality assurance for CARS+ and Rentworks applications.

  11. Prepare Service request and design documents using the ITPMO SDLC methodology and process.

Educational Background:

  • Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field is desirable.

  • Business Systems Analysis or Quality Assurance qualification.

  • Project Management qualification desirable. g. PMI

Professional Experience:

  • 2+ years of IT and business or industry work experience, with at least 1+ years of End-user support or Quality Assurance experience.

Knowledge:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the software industry, technical trends and business environment.

  • Experience Quality Assurance.

  • Proven ability to meet deadlines while simultaneously working multiple projects

  • Track record of process improvement andStrong strategic professional acumen

  • Ability to effectively work with others in a team environment

  • Experience with change management techniques / SDLC methodology.

  • Good command of English.

  • Basic knowledge of common OS platforms such as Windows and Linux (Optional)
