General Responsibilities

  • General Responsibilities:Hertz Airport Operations is seeking an enthusiastic, organized individual with a can-do attitude for our Back Office/Damage Clerk role based at the Los Angeles Airport.The successful candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has excellent prioritization skills and is capable of completing projects independently or within a team.The primary mission of the Back Office/Damage Clerk is to assist with the day-to-day operations of the Damage department. Assisting the Damage Managers and Appraisers in collaborating with the business to provide improved value. Some of the duties will include:Document Processing• Proof-reading accident reports and statements for accuracy• Handwriting missing rental information on submitted reports• Scanning of accident reports to online servers• Organized filing of reportsVehicle Research• Determine last known rental record number associated with damaged vehicles• Accurately document license plates, unit numbers, and Vehicle Identification Numbers• Match repair documents with statements of lossCommunication• Make phone calls, send emails/faxes to customers to obtain statements to resolve unreported damages• Requires direct contact with Damage Managers, Appraisers, and co-workers both verbally and written

Mandatory Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills PC experience

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and have good organizational skills

  • Ability to work overtime as required

  • Typing 30 wpm

  • 10 key by touch (6,000 ksph)

  • Strong PC proficiency including MS Excel

  • Criminal Background Check required due to access of Personable Identifiable Data (PID)

Preferred Requirements: Experience in dealing directly with customers (i.e. inquiries, disputes, adjustments, etc)

  • Working knowledge of ASAP, Carrent, GAR

  • Knowledge of accounting and receivables
