The Hertz Corporation Registration Fleet Specialist in Mississauga, Ontario

General Responsibilities

The registration specialist is responsible for the accurate processing of initial registration, registration renewals, provincial transfers, ownership transfers, and violations. The registration specialist will be fully knowledgeable on regulations, identify, implement, and maintain process improvements, and assist in effectively managing the customer experience.

  • Monitor and take action on assigned workload using FleetWeb dashboard and reporting

  • Submit transactions to be processed to the appropriate vendor

  • Follow-up on transaction status using exception reporting

  • Escalate and assist in resolving issues and delays

  • Identify, discuss, and implement process improvements

  • Research jurisdictional regulations and requirements

  • Manage and update requirement reference materials

  • Work with vendors to set expectations and hold them accountable for performance

  • Visit the Ontario Ministry of Transportation at least monthly to complete licensing transactions

  • Visit the Quebec SAAQ in mid-March each year to complete licensing transactions

  • Review, audit, and submit invoices for payment

  • Review ownership and registrations documents (NVIS,, registrations) for accuracy

  • Manage CARE

  • Work with customers and jurisdictions to update business registration information (name, mailing address, etc)

  • Work with entire licensing team to cross train and cover volume and staff fluctuations

  • Partner with Customer Experience to ensure a quality customer experience

  • Collaborate with Vehicle Acquisitions to ensure complete understanding of relevant vehicle specifications and client expectations

  • Support violation and toll management services and products (research and pay violations, assist with toll management service requests)

  • Other duties as assigned

Mandatory Requirements

  • College diploma preferred

  • Minimum of 3 years office experience

  • Speak and write in both English and French fluently

  • Strong written and verbal communication

  • Intermediate to expertise level proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Operate other programs in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook)

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to learn proprietary business software (Fleetweb, Care, Lite2000)

  • Ability to complete daily tasks with limited supervision
