The Hertz Corporation Branch Manager Trainee Intern - Morristown in Morristown, New Jersey

This position will increase your visibility into areas such as local strategy, leadership, sales, and customer service while facilitating the fastest, easiest, and most valued rental car experience for our customers. This internship is perfect for candidates pursuing a higher-level education looking to gain practical experience with a rapidly growing brand.

The ideal candidate will be available full-time hours Mon – Friday. Alternate schedules can be discussed.

Essential Functions of the job

  • Ensuring positive customer experience, making Hertz #1 in car rental company experience

  • Supporting achievement of location sales and margin goals while obtaining individual sales & customer goals

  • Upholding company standards by ensuring cars and location are pristine for an exceptional customer experience

  • Provide assistance creating a rental car reservation, processing rentals and providing clean and safe vehicles to our customers.

  • Work in a fast-paced environment, while providing helpful customer service that enhances the customer’s rental experience

  • Account & partner relationships to ensure best in class service

  • Growing sales utilizing business-to-business sales tactics

  • Assist customers with various post rental inquiries that involve the rental and billing process

Mandatory Requirements

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum of High School diploma or General Education Diploma required.

  • Pursuing a minimum of an Associate’s level degree preferably in business or leadership.

  • Able to work 32-40 hours per week throughout the internship period.

  • Have US work authorization

  • Valid Driver’s License in good standing

  • Must be at least 20 years of age

Professional Experience:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of tasks

  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism, enthusiasm, and outstanding communication skills.

  • Previous customer service

  • Strong time management and organizational skills are required

  • Computer literate and detailed orientated
