General Responsibilities

Hertz Field HR is seeking an enthusiastic, organized individual with a can-do attitude for our Human Resources Coordinator role based in Nashville, TN. The successful candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has excellent prioritization skills and is capable of completing projects independently or within a team.

The primary mission of the Human Resources Coordinator is to assist with the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource department. Including: Assisting the HR Business Partners in collaborating with the business to provide improved value. The HR Coordinator will have a general understanding of all aspects and administration of the HR support function including policies, procedures, and processes. Some of the duties will include:

Key Responsibilities:

OnBoarding:

Scanning of personnel files to the Corporate office in OKC

Ensuring information is submitted through the online onboarding portal

Miscellaneous:

Send assignment change notices to the HR Employee Care Center

Assistance with special projects as needed

Administer and track employee leaves of absence ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local laws. Communicate updates with responsible managers so there is a full awareness of an employee’s status and work dates.

Mandatory Requirements

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or Business/Management

Professional Experience:

  • 1-2 Years Corporate experience, preferably in Human Resources

Knowledge:

  • Solid knowledge of basic HR and employment laws and regulations

  • Understanding of FMLA and LOA policies and practices

  • Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task

  • Ability to communicate effectively

  • Attendance and dependability

Skills:

  • Advanced Microsoft Office

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Continuous Improvement mindset

  • Ability to handle a broad base of confidential information with discretion.

  • HRIS skills desired but not required
