The Hertz Corporation Project Manager in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
The Project Manager will focus on the identifying technical/functional requirements gathering on how Hertz will operationalize their future cloud presence. This will include creating and managing various technology based projects while utilizing predefined Hertz program management standards. The resource will be required to work collaboratively across all IT Architecture and Business domains as well as with external service providers to develop and/or improve the underlying services through the use of industry best practices and Hertz technology standards. The resource should be familiar with the tools used to deliver IT services and may be responsible for administration of the various tools.
Key Result Areas
Follow the established PMO framework and methodologies for managing projects
Manager all aspects of global project and program management including planning, design, engineering, procurement, resource planning cost, scheduling and implementation activities across multiple areas and multiple project teams
Drive service improvement plans that document and optimize the Hertz Cloud IT Services.
Facilitate discussions with Technology and Business stakeholders (Internal and External) in order to identify and document new processes and procedures required to support Hertz new Cloud Based operational infrastructure (Provisioning, Operationalizing & Support) .
Assists with the planning and development of training materials to ensure adoption.
Serves as point of contact for process related questions or issues and facilitates process related meetings pertaining to Cloud solutions.
Create business and technical design specifications for implementation of solutions.
Act as subject matter expert, helps facilitate functional requirements definition and documentation including the development of use cases and testing specification documents.
Analyze trends to drive future service level improvements and provide input and direction for the implementation of Service Improvement Plans.
Provide compliance and performance feedback to IT teams in line with Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators.
Support the gathering of and reporting on metrics and reporting on Service Management quality and operations across all identified domains.
Performs other duties as assigned.
- BA/BS degree, with emphasis on Computer Science, Information Systems; or equivalent, and related field or equivalent experience are required.
- 5 years of large-scale IT operations, project/process management experience with understanding of the technology lifecycle. Preferably Cloud providers including AWS, Azure, Salesforce, Bluemix, Oracle, etc..
Demonstrated knowledge of current tools and techniques of project management
Technical writing experience in a complex and dynamic IT environment
ITIL Foundation Certification is a benefit
Working knowledge of System Analysis roles, responsibilities and activities and System Development Life Cycle methodologies.
Strong grasp of private/public Cloud infrastructures and application development technologies and architectures.
Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
problem-solving and analytical skills are a must.
Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and projects in a demanding environment
Requires strong leadership and proactive issue and risk management.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify problems, make decisions, create solutions and take action
Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Visio, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
