The Account Representative program is a progressive business segment with lots of opportunity to change and evolve. Our reps have the opportunity to “own” their account. Our positions are a unique mix of sales and admin and require a mix of skills.

General Responsibilities:

The Account Representative will represent Hertz on the site of the Insurance Company’s Claim Center and act as the liaison between Hertz and this partner. This person will be the main contact for any issues arising in that office, and will also be how Hertz is made aware of further expansion opportunities.

While working on-site, the Account Representative will:

  • Develop a thorough working knowledge of Hertz computer management systems and the insurance company's claim management system

  • Assist in developing and implementing processes and procedures to streamline the process for both the customer and Hertz

  • Potentially conduct joint calls with claim center personnel to network body shops

  • Responsible for assisting the insurance company’s employees with any rental concerns which include assistance on extensions and receivable questions. This position must be willing to be the “point person” for adjusters and management through an interoffice support presence

  • Hertz Onsite will ensure we are capturing all revenue opportunities (reservations) sent to Hertz

  • Hertz Account Rep will work daily workload.

  • Hertz Account Rep will work the past due receivables report weekly, which will be forwarded on by the billing department.

  • The knowledge to recognize errors and inconsistencies within Hertz systems and report them in a timely manner

  • Assist with training adjusters and support staff in rental portal

  • Track, record, and report all activities to immediate manager and Hertz support services

  • Develop, promote, and monitor referral / promotional contests aimed at encouraging adjusters to send more referrals to Hertz

  • Regularly distribute Hertz marketing items to claims adjusters

  • Monitor rates and activities of competitors and respond appropriately and/or alert Hertz management when necessary

  • Participate in and/or help sponsor insurance company events when appropriate

  • Help adjusters with their personal rental needs

  • Constantly look for more opportunities and proactively communicate those to the Key Account Manager

  • Other duties assigned by manager

Preferred Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A College Degree

  • General understanding of insurance replacement business

  • HLE Rental Administration Department experience

  • Prior sales experience

  • Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales goals

  • Experience with frequently used Hertz systems such as HIRMS, HLES, HIRS, and GAR
