General Responsibilities

National Account Manager Corporate Reporting to Head of Corporate Sales, Responsible for the total management of a portfolio of contracted accounts focusing upon the corporate sector business. Ensuring they receive total quality from the services Hertz provide. Meet volume and contribution targets in line with company objectives

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Revenue Delivery

  • Revenue growth to meet business plan targets

  • Seek and exploit new opportunities within existing contracts

Profitability Development

  • Effective management of the portfolio receivable position

  • Produce and action strategic business plans for the accounts

  • Improve efficiency of account processes

  • Providing savings and innovation to both the Customer and Hertz

New Business Pipeline

  • Win new business in line with agreed parameters

  • Develop and maintain a qualified database of prospective clients

System Management

  • Salesforce (CRM System) Input and portfolio management

  • Account Administration/Record Keeping

  • Performance Reporting

Account Management

  • Contract Implementation and communication

  • Relationship development across customers & prospects

  • Preparation and presentation of complex, high value proposals, for all UK based companies, whether Domestic or Pan European.

  • Report KPI and Performance Targets both to the customer base and to internal stakeholders

  • Monitor competitor activity , with recommendations for appropriate action

  • Introduction of new product/promotions and services to existing customer base

Negotiation of new and existing contracts

  • Meet with contract decision-makers and influencers to review agreements

  • Take necessary actions to increase profitable business.

Educational Background:

Preferably to degree level, but with a minimum of "A"-Level or equivalent requirement and with additional business studies Sales or Marketing qualifications.

Professional Experience:

A minimum of 3 years prior senior sales experience, including Regional Account handling in a company recognised for its successful application of a structured sales and account management approach.

Proven track record in gaining new business and the penetration and retention of existing accounts.

Knowledge:

Ideally able to demonstrate knowledge of the travel industry and business to business sales environments.

Skills:

  • Persuasive communicator, articulate and numerate

  • Positive and enthusiastic and strong ability to motivate and influences others

  • Proficiency in the use of mainstream software (Word, Excel and Power-Point) is assumed

  • Strong negotiator, possessing excellent presentation skills
